Learn with Experienced Instructors
We provide 6hr-lesson packages, hourly lessons, and assistance with the California behind-the-wheel exam. Pricing varies by distance, and we have a clear cancellation policy in place. For manual transmission lessons we have other policies in place.
$20 Deposit fee is now required to schedule txt 323-522-4128 to book and is non-refundable. The deposit fee goes towards driving lesson complete payment. Driving lesson payment is due at end of each driving lesson unless 6hr package is paid for. Hourly Driving lessons to pay as you go are given to the convenience of clients. 6hr packages save you money all together but both individual driving lessons and package are non-refundable with the exception that instructor cancels read more below on specifics about that.
Only other option is booking via thumbtack Pro however the fee given in app does not go towards driving lesson.
We currently have both male and female instructors available. We look forward to expanding the team as the business grows and we find suitable instructors.
Our vehicles are premium vehicles and have tinted windows for the privacy of students as previous students at other driving schools' instructors at Kamcar driving school have worked at complained about feeling embarrassed to be seen in driving school cars, so we operate our business differently to other Driving Schools in that sense and look forward to build teens confidence up and accommodate to reasonable requests. If you find our pricing too high, please look elsewhere the pricing is set prices that will change as the economy does once you lock in the deal the price stays the same, we are giving you a deal considering most driving schools do NOT offer premium vehicles (91 gas) nor show concern for the privacy about when being seen in driving school cars we DO. Our teens are the future, and we seek building a better future and guiding teens for the betterment of society as a whole. We are doing God's work as other parents put it best and look to create safe conscious drivers of good moral character. To us at Kamcar driving school how our teens feel and them having privacy is essential.
Payments are non-refundable with the exception of instructor cancellation due to a vehicle/medical/ family emergency we apologize in advance if this ever happens few things in life are out of our control, but we take pride in being understanding to a reasonable extent.
If teens are experiencing emotional crisis or sleep deprivation we can reschedule as our experienced instructors know that teens have a personal life and seek the safety of all involved, we just ask that a 24hr notice be given about such crisis. Rescheduling requires $20 deposit fee and waived the first time.
A 15-minute grace period is given to both students and instructors to arrive at scheduled location considering gas fueling and traffic. Instructors will communicate if there is an extraordinary issue such as mechanical issue/ tire issue or hold up at gas stations that require rescheduling deposit fee is waived when it is extraordinary circumstances that instructor is having.
No Shows Fee is waived on first no show but there on after it is $45 fee.
Cancellations need to be made 24-hr in advance or it will be considered a No show. Cancellations are treated as rescheduling needed.
Teen students receive required DMV certification upon 6hr driving lesson competition.
Permit is required for all lessons and is validated by our instructors on the 1st lesson.
Kamcar Driving School accepts cash, Zelle, debit, credit, checks (only in person), and cashapp. We do NOT accept Venmo nor Applepay any longer. Our website also provides payment via PayPal and stripe. Deposit is a new requirement as of 8/8/2025 if we already doing business prior deposit fee does not apply
